127Day 11/ We've landed a series of changes and more compute to very significantly decrease the occurrence of the disruptive "Selected model is at capacity. Please try a different model". When it does happen, it should also eventually just continue by itself and not just block on it. Let us know if you still see it out there in the wild and we'll take a look.

Codex reset FAQ
When does Codex usually reset?
Separate regular account resets from extra resets announced by Tibo. Your usage dashboard gives your personal reset time; do not assume a universal midnight refresh. Current guidance describes five-hour windows for Plus and Standard Business, possible weekly limits, and no five-hour limit for Pro.
Extra resets follow individual announcements. Historical dates do not establish a recurring schedule. Treat a promised reset as a forecast until a completion signal is available, then check your own usage.
This calendar puts Notice on the publication date and Reset on the recorded reset-signal date. Linked announcements and completions may therefore appear on different days. Compare them in the same timezone.
When do reset cards expire?
Check the expiry of your specific card. Official account data allows an expiry per earned reset, but it can be absent. No displayed date does not establish unlimited validity.
One historical compensation offer explicitly allowed its additional banked reset to be used over the next 24 hours. That deadline belongs to that offer; it does not define every card’s lifetime.
Before saving a card, check its account description, expiry and timezone. If unclear, consult the original announcement or official support. The publication date and this site’s Card marker cannot establish when your card expires.
How is a reset different from a reset card?
Reset reports an immediate usage refresh; Card reports a banked opportunity you can apply later. Receiving a card is different from using it.
Tibo once announced a full reset plus another reset in the bank. This is why a post can have both Reset and Card markers: it describes two different actions.
Monthly Reset counts are recorded public reset events; Card counts are grant events. Neither measures your personal redemptions or current card balance. Notice is an announcement and is not counted as another completed reset.
How do I use a reset card?
Sign in to the account that received the card and look for its reset control in the official app or web interface. Tibo’s milestone announcement described desktop and web redemption. Follow the controls available in your current client.
Read the card’s scope and expiry before confirming. Check which limit is blocking your work; a weekly reset may not resolve a different limit. This website’s calendar buttons only change the view and cannot redeem a card.
After redemption, refresh account usage and the card count. Official outcomes distinguish success, a previously completed redemption, no credit and no eligible window. Check the account state before repeatedly clicking if the result is unclear.
How much usage does one card restore?
Read the specific grant description. Tibo’s 7-million-user milestone offer explicitly replenished weekly usage. That establishes the scope of that batch, not a guarantee that every card resets all windows.
A card is not a fixed message bundle or cash balance. Model choice, context and task complexity affect how much work the restored capacity can support.
Compare the affected window before and after redemption. If another window remains exhausted, inspect that separate limit before concluding the card failed. This site records public grants and cannot calculate how many requests your card supports.
Why has an announced reset not appeared in my account?
First check the action and timing: a future Notice is not a completion report, and a Card grant may add an opportunity without immediately refreshing usage.
Check eligibility, your signed-in account and the timezone. One Astra grant named Plus, Pro and Business, with an 8 pm Pacific cutoff for creating or upgrading an account. Those conditions belonged to that announcement.
If you qualify, refresh official usage and inspect cards and the affected window. If still inconsistent, collect the original URL, plan, time and a screenshot for official support. A public completion signal here does not verify delivery to every individual account.
Where can I check my own reset time?
Use the official account usage dashboard or /status during an active Codex CLI session. Check each window separately: the earliest reset may not clear the particular limit blocking your work.
Distinguish used from remaining percentages: 80% used means about 20% remains in that window. Compare countdowns and timestamps in the same timezone.
This site supplies public context—completion signals, announced resets and grants—not your personal balance or countdown. Its monthly totals do not show your quota. With API-key access, check API billing and limits separately from subscription announcements.
